Behind the design: The Acanthus Collection
Behind the design: The Acanthus Collection

Our newest pendant forms part of our ongoing collaboration with Historic Royal Palaces, drawing on the historical grandeur and refined beauty of royal interiors. Inspired by the acanthus motif found within the ornate ceiling mouldings of Hampton Court Palace, each piece is thoughtfully crafted to bring a sense of drama, richness and timeless elegance to contemporary spaces. Considered and storied, each design is a celebration of the beauty of the past, reimagined.

Each pendant is wheel-thrown in Cornwall and finished entirely by hand by ceramicist Funda Ersoysal of Studio Agni. Using locally sourced clay from a farm steeped in pottery heritage, every piece is individually carved and shaped, leaving subtle variations and the visible marks of making - celebrating both the material and the time-honoured craft behind it.
“This slow process allows each piece to retain subtle variations and the marks of making, so the finished pendant reflects both the material and the time involved in its creation.”
