A public evidence hub for our sustainability journey, B Corp certification work, ESG transparency, supplier accountability and future annual impact reporting.
Building better products with long-term responsibility
Sustainability is integrated into our leadership, product development and operational decision-making. We are committed to continuous improvement, responsible growth and transparent reporting.
Mission Statement
To design and supply beautifully engineered electrical products that combine craftsmanship, innovation and long-term responsibility for people, customers, suppliers and the planet.
Vision Statement
To become a leading British electrical brand recognised for responsible innovation, sustainable product design, supplier accountability, circularity and lasting customer trust.
We are on a B Corp certification journey. This hub will continue to evolve as a public source of evidence, progress updates, policy disclosures, targets and annual impact reporting.
The principles guiding how we work
Customer Focus
We design, communicate and operate with the customer experience at the centre of our decisions.
Togetherness
We value collaboration across teams, suppliers, partners and communities.
Performance & Innovation
We pursue better-performing products, smarter engineering and continuous operational improvement.
Trust & Ownership
We take responsibility for our actions, supplier relationships, claims and improvement plans.
People & Planet
We consider environmental and social impact across product development, sourcing, packaging and operations.
Continuous Improvement
We recognise sustainability as an ongoing journey and commit to measurable progress over time.
Engineering products for performance, efficiency and longevity
Our product approach prioritises energy efficiency, durability, repairability and reduced replacement frequency.
Enkin Technology
Energy-saving dimming technology designed to support LED optimisation and reduced energy consumption.
Kinetic Switching
Wireless, battery-free switch innovation using kinetic energy to reduce electrical waste and improve installation flexibility.
Long-Life Design
Engineering-first product development focused on durability, repairability and reduced replacement frequency.
Supporting specialist makers and UK supplier relationships
Nearly 40% of supplier spend supports UK suppliers, including hand-finishing operations, British powder coating and metal plating partnerships.
UK Craftsmanship
- UK hand-finishing operations
- British powder coating partnerships
- Metal plating partnerships
- Support for specialist makers and heritage industries
Regional Relationships
- Cornwall supplier and material innovation
- Devon manufacturing relationships
- Birmingham finishing and engineering expertise
- London design and heritage inspiration
Our collections include inspiration from Historic Royal Palaces, and we are proud to reference our Made in Britain membership as part of our commitment to British design, engineering and responsible sourcing.
Repair, reuse, recover and reduce
We are building circular practices into product aftercare, returned goods handling, prototyping and material recovery.
Repair Programme
We support product repair, refurbishment and repurposing of returned products, including a 10% repair incentive and postage-paid returns.
Material Recovery
Damaged components are assessed for recycling, metal recovery, reuse and product development applications.
Reduced Waste
We aim to reduce replacement frequency by designing products with durability, serviceability and long-term use in mind.
Exploring lower-impact materials and responsible design
Ocean Collection
Uses recycled fishing nets and ocean-bound plastics to reduce reliance on virgin materials.
Linen Collection
Uses recycled plastics from end-of-life clothing, supporting circular material use.
Sustainable Lighting
Includes 3D printed lighting, natural material exploration and Cornish clay innovation.
Reducing packaging impact across the customer journey
Current Actions
- Plastic-free packaging for switches and sockets
- Reuse of cardboard packaging where appropriate
- Packaging reduction initiatives
- Supplier engagement on packaging reduction
Ongoing Improvements
- Continued search for eco-friendly alternatives to polystyrene
- Waste reduction commitments
- Supplier packaging reviews
- Future packaging reduction target tracking
Supplier accountability, engagement and improvement
We work with suppliers to improve environmental awareness, ethical sourcing standards, biodiversity considerations, waste reduction and emissions engagement.
Supplier Screening
Supplier sustainability questionnaires and environmental supplier reviews help us assess expectations and identify improvement areas.
Corrective Action
Where gaps are identified, we aim to support corrective action and practical supplier transition work.
Long-Term Relationships
We prioritise responsible sourcing commitments and long-term collaboration with suppliers wherever possible.
Considering nature in sourcing and circularity
Our Biodiversity Policy sets out our commitment to habitat protection awareness, circular economy principles, responsible sourcing and annual biodiversity review.
Biodiversity considerations will continue to be reviewed as part of supplier engagement, material choices, packaging decisions and circular economy planning.
Supporting education, cleaner oceans and community engagement
Soho Cleaner Oceans
Community-led action including beach cleans, awareness activity and support for Surfers Against Sewage.
Education
School partnerships and sustainability education designed to inspire awareness and responsible design thinking.
Future Designers
Young designer competitions and community initiatives that encourage creativity, innovation and environmental awareness.
Measuring impact before making claims
We track Scope 1 and Scope 2 emissions and undertake annual carbon footprint reviews using ESG spreadsheets, carbon calculators and GHG Protocol methodologies where applicable.
Carbon Reduction
We will publish carbon reduction goals and progress updates as our measurement processes develop.
Responsible Claims
We avoid unverified carbon neutrality claims. Offsetting may support environmental activity, but it does not replace direct emissions reduction.
What we track and report
This section will evolve into a year-on-year impact reporting dashboard as data maturity improves.
Carbon emissions, UK supplier percentage, supplier sustainability engagement, repair and refurbishment initiatives.
Packaging reduction tracking, waste reduction reporting, supplier emissions engagement and annual environmental target publication.
Annual impact reports, year-on-year performance data, target progress and public evidence updates.
Public evidence repository
Policies, reports and supplier documents links.

Clear progress, honest challenges
We recognise that electronics manufacturing remains globally concentrated, that some packaging still requires improvement, and that supplier transition work takes time.
Sustainability is a long-term journey. We will avoid overstated environmental claims and will continue to publish clearer evidence, updated policies, measurable targets and improvement progress as our reporting systems mature.
